Renowned Zambian musician, Dandy Krazy, real name Wesley Chibambo, has tragically passed away at the age of 47 following a road accident in the Kapiri Mposhi region on New Year’s Eve.
The accident, involving a truck and two cars, claimed the lives of three individuals at the scene as Dandy Krazy succumbed to his injuries early Thursday morning despite being rushed to the University Teaching Hospital in Lusaka for emergency surgery.
President Hakainde Hichilema led tributes to the celebrated artist, describing him as an “extraordinary artist” whose music transcended boundaries and united people. “His music and charisma touched lives far and wide,” the President noted in a heartfelt Facebook post.
Dandy Krazy’s daughter, Comfort, expressed her grief in an emotional tribute, saying, “Even in death, we will always love you, Papa. I have no time to question God but agree to His will, but Lord, Your will hurts.”
