The Special Assistant to the President on Digital and Creative Economy, Mr Pegho Ummunibo has led his team on a courtesy visit to Governor Umar Namadi at the Government House in Dutse, the Jigawa State Capital.

Mr. Ummunibo explained that their visit was in connection with the Jigawa Fashion Roundtable event, set to take place in three phases across the state’s three senatorial districts.

This event is part of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at equipping youths with jobs and skills for gainful employment.

Mr. Ummunibo highlighted their intention to align with the Jigawa State Government’s 12-Point Agenda, particularly in job creation, and to explore ways to expand the fashion industry, especially in sewing and leatherwork.

He assured that their initiative would support individuals at all levels in the fashion business, including beginners, and pledged to establish a local platform for artisans to market their products online.

Governor Umar Namadi, in response, promised full support for the initiative, noting its potential benefits for the state’s residents.

He announced that the state government had approved the establishment of three fashion design centers across Jigawa, which will help create both direct and indirect employment opportunities for its citizens.
