Kano State House of Assembly KNHA has adopted a motion to recall the  state’s emirate councils amendment bill.

This was sequel to deliberations on the floor of the house during plenary session presided over by the speaker Alhaji Jibril Isma’il Falgore.

In a motion of urgent public importance moved by the majority leader Alhaji Lawan Hussaini Dala,he urged the house to support the motion to move the state forward.

The motion  was seconded by member representing Dawakin Shu’aibu Rabi’u.

It can be recall that, In 2019, Kano state house of assembly approved the creation of four additional emirate councils, bringing the number of First Class Emirs in the state to five.

Radio Nigeria reports that, in September 2020 KNHA passes the emirate councils amendment bill 2020 which made provisions for the Emir of Kano to serve as the chairman of the Council of Chiefs, putting the issue of rotation to an end.
