KNHA KNSG partner on BOI LoanKano state House of Assembly has urged the state government to set up a committee to work in collaboration with relevant agencies to guide Kano residents on how to access loans through the Bank of Industry (BOI).
This was sequel to deliberations on the floor of the house during plenary presided over by the Speaker , Alhaji Jibril Isma’il Falgore.
Earlier, member representing Doguwa Constituency Alhaji Salisu Ibrahim Muhammad presented a motion of urgent public importance on the need for Kano to access federal government loans through the Bank of Industry BOI.
He explained that, he had visited the bank to make inquiries on the process and requirements for the loan.
Alhaji Salisu stressed the need for the state government to set up a committee to work with the state Ministry of Commerce and Kano state Investment Promotion Agency and Diaspora ( KanInvest ) to enable Kano business men and women benefit.
Supporting the motion, member representing Dala Alhaji Lawan Hussaini highlighted that the accessibility of the loan would boost industrial, commercial and economic activities in Kano.
After careful deliberations, the house unanimously adopted a resolution and referred the matter to the house standing committee on commerce to investigate and submit a report within one week.
