The Vice Chancellor , University of Ilorin Professor Wahab Egbewole says his administration will create enabling environment for the University to achieve its ‘Smart Agenda’.

Professor Egbewole made the disclosure while speaking with Newsmen at the annual Media Iftar held at the Institution main campus in Ilorin.

According to him there was the need to create enabling environment for both students and staff to ply their role to enable the University achieve its potential.

He said the SMART university mantra entails that his administration will be geared towards achieving sustainable development, monumental achievements, adaptive capacity, rapid response to change and team building.”

Professor Egbewole expressed optimism that the progress the University is witnessing would not diminish.

The Vice Chancellor also highlighted the achievement recorded in the University to includes infrastructural development, students welfare among others .

He stressed the need to do things differently to make the University a global player.

Professor Egbewole commended the unions in the University on the role played in the NASU and SSANU warning strike.
