Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Abbas Tajuddeen, has lauded the efforts of President Tinubu, the Kaduna State governor, and the National Security Adviser for their relentless efforts towards the successful release of the abducted Kuriga school children in Kaduna State.
In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Malam Musa Abdullahi Krishi, the Speaker said he was elated on hearing the news that the 287 abducted students were reunited with their families unharmed.
Dr Abbas Tajuddeen, who congratulated the Kuriga community for the safe return of their children, commended security agencies, especially the military, for their determination and commitment in securing the release of the abducted students.
The Speaker emphasized that since the unfortunate incident, efforts had been ongoing between Governor Uba Sani and President Bola Ahmad Tinubu to ensure the children were reunited with their parents.
“To God be the glory, the aim has been achieved”.
”The combined efforts paid off as Governor Sani announced the release of the students” he noted.
Dr Abbas Tajuddeen however, appealed to the Armed Forces to be more steadfast and determined in their operations to rescue other Nigerians captured by criminal groups in different parts of the country.

Radio Nigeria reported that on the 7th of March, bandits invaded Kuriga, a community in the Chikun Local Government area of Kaduna State, abducting about 287 students from a primary school.
