President Bola Tinubu has appointed a new leadership team for the National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children Education.
Brigadier-General Lawal Ja’afar Isa (Rtd) has been chosen to lead the Board of the Commission, and Dr. Idris Muhammad Sani will serve as the Executive Secretary/CEO.
A statement by the special adviser to the president on media and publicity Ajuri Ngelale said General Ja’afar Isa is a highly respected leader and previously served as the Military Administrator of Kaduna State from 1993 to 1996.
Dr. Muhammad Sani holds master’s and doctorate degrees in Islamic Studies and has an extensive background in education, having held various positions in both public and private institutions.


The President has expressed confidence that the new appointees will use their vast knowledge and experience to manage the Commission effectively.

The Commission plays a crucial role in ensuring that Nigeria’s out-of-school children receive comprehensive education, which is essential for the nation’s future.
