Kwara State Police Command has arrested thirteen suspects and recovered a locally made pistol, live ammunition , charms and other dangerous objects.
Parading the suspects , the state Commissioner of Police , Ebunoluwarotimi Adelesi said the suspects arrested included six suspected kidnappers, five electric cable thieves, and two motorcycle thieves.
The Police boss said the six suspected kidnappers allegedly abducted their victims while driving their vehicle along Oke -Onigbin -Isanlu-Isin area.
She explained that while efforts were on to rescue the victims by the Police, local vigilantes and hunters ,the suspects shot and killed their two victims and escaped into the bush.
Adelesi said the Police stormed the forest using intelligence report and arrested the suspects and recovered the weapons.
She noted that the five suspected electric cable thieves were apprehended along Tanke area of Ilorin while trying to transport the consignments .
The Police Commissioner maintained that the two suspects arrested over theft of motorcycle at a hotel premises were identified through a Close Circuit Television (CCTV) footage preview.
She said all the suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
