Nigerians on Tuesday were greeted with an increase in the pump price of premium motor spirit also called petrol as the product now sells at N617 in some NNPCL stations.

Petrol which sold for N537 was adjusted to N617 in some fuel stations Radio Nigeria visited in Abuja.

The NNPC mega filling station at Lugbe, Airport Road has been adjusted its fuel price from N540 to N617. 

Another Retail Outlets of NNPC-Limited around New Nyanya area on the border between Nasarawa and the Federal Capital Territory was selling the product at N700 per litre.

However, there has not been any official Statement either by NNPC-Limited or the Organised Independent Petroleum Marketers as at the time of filing this report.

Garba Deen Muhammad, the Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPC Ltd, in May 31 announced the adjustment of the pump prices of PMS across their retail outlets from N197 to N537.

He explained that it was to reflect the current market realities at that time.
