Kebbi State Government, has secured the release of 30 people from the hands of bandits in Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area of the state.
In a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ahmed Idris, said the Chairman, Danko/Wasagu LGA, Alhaji Useni Aliyu Bena, who confirmed the release, commended the state government for securing the release of the victims of banditary.
The statement explained that, 24 of the abducted victims were released on Friday while another six were also released on Saturday.
It noted with satisfaction that, the release of outstanding allowance of the security agencies in the state by the present administration had boosted the morale of the personnel.
According to the statement, the Council Chairman said, they must appreciate the efforts of the state government for working hand-in-hand with security agencies by giving them the necessary support to ensure that criminals are flushout especially in areas where the state is sharing border with Zamfara and Niger State.
The statement also appreciated the effort of the Brigade Commander in-charge of Kebbi, Zamfara and Sokoto States for the reailliance of his men that led to rescue of 30 Peoples within two days.
Its explained that, some of the abducted people are from Kotangora in Niger State, some from Danmari, Kaba and Kajiji in Zamfara State while some are from Bena in Kebbi State.
Its also stated that, arrangements had been concluded to take care of their medical examination to ascertain their health condition.
