Teachers in Garun Malam local government area, have been urged to desist from late coming and rededicate themselves to their duties, to achieve the desired objectives.

The Education Secretary Garun Malam local government area, Malam Sani Mato, made the call while handing over appointment letters, to the newly recruited primary school teachers at the council secretariat.

According to him, teachers have a vital role to play in educating the young ones , and as such there was the urgent need to commit themselves to discharging their responsibilities effectively.

The education secretary pointed out that, the new permanent and pensionable teachers, were recruited to fill the gap due to the retirement of some teachers in the area.

Malam Sani Mato reiterated the local government’s dedication in uplifting the standards of education.

In his remarks, the Chairman of Garun Malam local government area, Alhaji Mudassir Aliyu Dakasoye expressed his readiness in mapping out policies and programs aimed at moving the area forward.

Alhaji Mudassir who was represented by Ahmed Isa Bagio, identified provision of qualitative education, as one of the cardinal objectives of his administration.

Speaking on behalf of the new teachers, Aminullah Dakasoye pointed out that, they would put in their possible best, in educating pupils according to global practice.

They commended Kano state governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for the confidence reposed on them.

The event attracted relevant stakeholders in Garum Malam local government area education sector.
