Kaduna Residents Commended for Conducting Peaceful Elections

Kaduna State citizens have been
commended for conducting themselves in a peaceful manner during the presidential and National Assembly elections.

The chairman of Jema’a Local Government Area Mr Yunana Barde stated this to newsmen after he cast his vote at his polling unit in Jagindi Kafanchan of Kaduna State.

Mr Yunana Barde explained that Jagindi ward has 33 polling units with over 18 thousand votes which is the highest in Jema’a local government area.

‘sincerely the election is peaceful, and is not just the working of the council but a collective effort. of all the stakeholders who have undergone series of strategic meetings to ensure the elections is peaceful’, he explained

He reiterated the importance of peace in the country without which he said there will be no meaningful development.

The council chairman who thanked president Muhammed Buhari for remaining resolute in ensuring that elections held despite all odds also applauded the security agencies for their effective role in the elections.

Also speaking on the general conduct of elections in southern kaduna, A PDP candidate of House of representatives Jema’a Sanga constituency Mr Daniel Amos said all that matters in the election is for the people’s vote to matter.

He was optimistic of a better chance of winning but insist that he will accept whatever outcome in the spirit of sportsmanship.
