Kano State Fire Service has confirmed the death of a 14 Year old teenager, Ashafa Ibrahim due to drowning at Ramin kwarin mai kaca, Danzaki village, Gezawa local government area.

Narrating the incident, the Public Relations Officer , Kano state fire service, PFS Saminu Yusif Abdullahi explained that, the formation received a distress call at 12:26 pm from Malam Ibrahim Abdullahi.

He stressed that on arrival , the rescue team discovered that, an islamiyya student covered with hot rice dust had fell into an open water.

“They found that, a boy of about 14 years old, by name ASHFA IBRAHIM, a student of one Islamic school”

Saminu Yusif highlighted that, eye witness hinted that, the boy accidentally fell into a hot rice dust surrounding the open water, before slipping into the pond.

The public relations officer maintained that, Ashafa was retrieved unconscious with various degrees of burns ,and later confirmed dead by health officials.

He said, the remains of the student, had been handed over to the ward head of Danzaki, Alhaji Muhammad Abdulkarim.

“Investigation has commenced to unravel the mystery behind the boy’s accident as the area was surrounded by hot rice dust after milling”
