Kwara state Police Command has arrested Nine suspected kidnappers and recovered three locally made guns, six cartridges and other dangerous weapons.
Parading the suspects at the Police Headquarters in Ilorin, the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Paul Odama said the command had also arrested two motorcycle thieves.
He said the suspected kidnappers and cattle rustlers were arrested at various locations in Malete, Shao and Eiyenkorin areas of the state.
Mr Odama explained that the suspects were rounded up by the combined team of vigilantes, local hunters and Police in their hideout.
He noted that during an exchange of gun fire three of the suspects were neutralised.
Mr Odama said the two motocycle thieves were arrested at Oke-Ose area while dismantling the motorcycle.
He warned criminal elements to turn a new leaf or stay away from the state.
The Commissioner of Police maintained that the command will leave no stone unturn in keeping the peaceful atmosphere in the state.
