Kwara state Police Command says it has put in place measures to ensure adequate security in and around INEC facilities in the state.

A statement by the Command spokesman , Okasanmi Ajayi said the state Commisssioner of Police ,Paul Odama stated this during an unscheduled visit to INEC office in Ilorin .

The statement noted that the Commisssioner was conducted round to inspect some of the election materials already received by INEC, which included BVAS, computers, among others.

The statement advised all security agencies to be at alert at all times.

Meanwhile the command has also
arrested one Issa Naigbeti at Kambi area of Ilorin over alleged kidnap of his father , Bature Naigboho in Igboho/Igbeti area of Oyo State.

The statement said the sum of N2.5 million naira was collected as ransom.

The statement maintained that efforts are ongoing to arrest his other accomplices.
