CAN CHAIRMAN NIGER STATE BISHOP BULUS YOHANNA.

Despite the security, economic and social challenges being experienced in Nigeria, Christians in Niger state have been asked to remain hopeful of overcoming such problems saying the birth of Jesus Christ heralds good tidings to mankind.

The chairman of the Niger State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN Bishop Bulus Yohanna said this while addressing Newsmen in Minna in his Christmas message to Christians in the state.

Bishop Bulus Yohanna who would wants them to keep hope alive however maintained that despite the challenges, there is so much to appreciate for the uninterrupted democracy since nineteen ninety nine.

On twenty twenty three general elections the clergy man reminded Christians that it was another golden opportunity accorded them by God to use their given talent to elect leaders who have the capacity and good character to create an enabling environment for Nigerians to thrive.

He implored leaders at various churches in the state to encourage members to go out enmasse to collect their Permanent Voter Card PVC and not to be discouraged by the wait time that may be required.

Bishop Bulus Yohanna further told the Christians that they must actively promote the Christian duty of acrive participation in civic responsibility by going out to cast their votes on electiion day.

He also appealed to the Chairman Independent National Electoral Commission INEC Professor Mahmood Yakubu and his team at Federal and State levels to be firm, upright and remain unbiased by ensuring that the vote of every Nigerian counts.
