Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger state has commissioned the multi million naira Sani Bello ICT Centre at Kontagora with an assurance that the zone would now experience an increase in students enrollment through JAMB and many other specialists in various fields of specialisation.

Commissioning the edifice housing about five hundred computer systems and a strong server , the Governor described the exercise as strategic to the people of zone C in Niger state.

Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello further explained that the project would also helped to address problems of abduction of students by bandits on highways ,who hitherto had to travel all the way to Minna the state capital to write their JAMB examinations.

He however lamented that zone c is less advantaged in terms of appointments .

According to him with this development they can now close the gap that have existed in the past by getting more engineers, doctors and lawyers.

Director General Sani Bello Foundation Dr. Zakari Ikana said the centre has solar generator and access to public power facility capable of enhancing opportunities to host international conferences , workshops and seminars.

In his remarks the Sarkin Sudan of Kontagora Alhaji Mohammed Barau Muazu the second, said Colonel Sani Bello retired has been a blessing to the people of Kontagora and Nigeria and wished him well for his eightieth birthday anniversary.

Senator representing Kebbi South Senatorial zone at the National Assembly Bala Ibn Naallah advised Colonel Sani Bello to look into the possibility of investing his resources in the aviation sector , to enable the people of Kontagora axis and neighbouring states benefit from such gesture.
