The Academic Staff Union of Universities ASUU has suspended its eight month old strike.
The decision was taken at the end of its National Executive Council, NEC meeting held at ASUU national secretariat in Abuja.
The University of Abuja chapter Chairman of ASUU, Professor Kasim Umar who confirmed the suspension said its president, Professor Emmanuel Osodeke will brief the press on the details of the suspension.
The ASUU NEC meeting which started Thursday evening lasted till the early hours of Friday.
