Comrade Rabi’u Abdurrahman from Kano state Ministry of Works, has emerged as the chairman of the Amalgamated Union of Public Corporations Civil Service, Technical and Recreational Services Employees (AUPCTRE), Kano state council.

The election took place during the 6th quadrennial delegates conference of AUPCTRE, Kano state council, held at Sani Abacha indoor stadium, kofar mata.

The electoral committee, under the leadership of Comrade Alo Lawrence from the national council of the union, declares that the new leadership emerges unopposed and would steer the affairs of the union for the next four years.

In his acceptance speech, Comrade Rabi’u Abdurrahman promised to work asidiously according to the constitution.

He commended the delegates for their commitment in ensuring his victory, saying that he would not relent in his efforts of uplifting the union to international standards.

Declaring the conference open, Director Establishment office of the Head of Civil Service Kano state, Alhaji Muhammad Sulaiman reiterated the state government’s commitment in moving the state forward.

The 6th quadrennial delegates conference was attended by Kano state NLC chairman, Comrade Kabiru Ado Minjibir, chairperson NLC women wing, national vice president, former national vice president, chairmen and secretaries of other affiliated unions.
