At least three hundred (300) staff of the Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission, (HYPPADEC) have commenced skill development training to improve their performance.

Declaring the Skill Development Training open in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital, Managing Director of the Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commisssion, (HYPPADEC) Alhaji Abubakar Yelwa urged the participants to take the training seriously.

According to him the training is meant to equip them with necessary tools to discharge their duties.

Alhaji Abubakar Yelwa advised the trainees to use the exercise to prepare for the task ahead.

He explained that the Commisssion will introduce productivity award to encourage the staff to perform better.

The HYPPADEC Managing Director, advised them to make discipline and hard work their watch word.

Alhaji Abubakar Yelwa urged the trainees to work as a team at all times to enable them achieve the mandate of the commission.

He assured that the commission will continue to address the ecological and other challenges of about one thousand eight hundred (1,800) communities under its watch.

In her address on the occasion , a Human Resources Development Expert, Eugenia Ndukwe said the trainees will be trained on how to discharge their duties in accordance with the mandate of the Commission.

She urged the trainees to use the period of the exercise to sharpen their skills to enable them discharge their duties as expected.
