Outgoing Comptroller of the Service in Kaduna, Mr Adapoyi Odeh

Personnel of the Nigeria Immigration Service-NIS have been charged to sustain professionalism in the discharge of their duties.

Outgoing Comptroller of the Service in Kaduna, Mr Adapoyi Odeh gave the charge at a sendforth ceremony held in his honour in Kaduna.

Mr Adapoyi Odeh attributed the successes recorded under his watch to the cordial working relationship he enjoyed with personnel and other security agencies, considering the prevalent security challenges.

He maintained that upon assumption of duty in February this year, he facilitated the ongoing construction of a second passport office in Zaria, in order to decongest the crowd associated with passport requests at the command’s headquarters.

On the challenges faced, Mr Odeh highlighted lack of adequate operational vehicles to monitor the movement of Non-Nigerians in a bid to curtail security threats across the state.

The outgone comptroller urged the incoming comptroller to consolidate on the successes recorded, and carry everyone along in the scheme of affairs at the command.

Highlight of the ceremony were goodwill messages from the Civil Defence, FRSC, EFCC, the Police, as well as presentation of gifts to the retiring comptroller.

Comptroller Adapoyi Odeh is retiring from the Immigration Service after reaching the mandatory age of sixty, and thirty-four years in service.
