The APC has appointed Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State as the Director General of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council.
National Chairman of the party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, accompanied by Asiwaju Tinubu, Kashim Shettima, and Governor Lalong, disclosed this in Abuja, after presenting the Director General to President Buhari.
He told State House correspondents that the choice of Governor Lalong was based on his ability to deliver the goals of the party.
Answering questions on the party’s choice of a Muslim-Muslim ticket, Senators Abdullahi Adamu and Kashim Shettima said the decision was not deliberate, emphasizing that it was propelled by the prevailing circumstances of the political exegeses in the country.
They however stressed that they were sensitive to the situation while appealing for understanding, and pledged that Fairplay will be meted out across boards.
