Niger state Executive Council has approved the construction of eight point four kilometer Kontagora by pass at the cost of over six billion naira.

State Commissioner of Works and Infrasturactural Development Alh Manman Musa stated this while addressing Newsmen on the outcome of their weekly meeting in Minna.

Alh Manman Musa explained that the project is to be constructed in Kontagora town to ease the challenges confronting people residing in the area as well as other road users flying the area.

According to him inline with with the terms of agreement the construction of eight point four kilometer Kontagora bypass would last for twelve months.

Alh Manman Musa further said the project will be completed before the end of tenure of Governor Abubakar Sani Bello administration towards bringing soccur and relief to the people of Kontagora and its environs.

The over six billion naira approved he said covers real construction work and payment of compensation while stressing that when completed it would help to boost economic activities of Kontagora Niger state and Nigeria as a whole.

Alh Manman Musa also spoke of plans by the Niger state government to embark on massive commissioning of road projects constructed by Governor Abubakar Sani Bello led administration in the last seven years.
