PMB, Lawan, Gbajabiamila Felicitate Nigerians On Eid-el Kabir

President Muhammadu Buhari has called on Nigerians to put the interest of the country above selfish interests, using religion as a motivation for the love of the citizens’ common humanity.
 

In his Eid-el Kabir message to Nigerians, the president emphasised that religion, rather than being used as a mere badge of identity, should be a motivator for good doings for the country and humanity.
 
President Buhari explained that the exploitation of Nigerians by traders, and the stealing of public funds by civil servants and other holders of public trust was a reflection of the abandonment of the teachings of their religions.

On the current security challenges and costs of living in the country, he assured Nigerians that he would not rest until he had brought relief, as he is quite aware of the difficulties facing Nigerians.

President Buhari congratulated the Muslim Ummah in Nigeria and the world on the occasion of the Eid, citing for special mention, the brave men and women in uniform fighting terror on many fronts and their families, as well as others held hostage and by terrorists.
 
He used the occasion to call on Muslims to reflect on the significance of the sacrifice epitomised by Eid as well as promote the virtues of Islam.

Similarly, President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, has felicitated Nigerians, particularly the Muslim Ummah, on the occasion of Sallah festival.

In the statement the president of the senate says prayer has been strengthening the people and sustaining the nation, Nigeria in the face of its numerous challenges.

He urges Nigerians not to cease praying for Nigeria or waver in their belief that the purpose of Allah shall prevail for the country.

Lawan says with divine intervention and continued support of Nigerians for the government, Nigeria will soon overcome the challenges.

The Senate President says the ninth National Assembly will continue to work assiduously and collaborate with the other arms of government towards stabilising the security and economy of the country to the relief of all Nigerians

Also, Speaker of the House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila has rejoiced with Nigerian Muslims on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.

In a message from Mecca, Mr Gbajabiamila noted that the period calls for sacrifice and commitment to the course of the Almighty Allah.

He called on Nigerian Muslims, especially those participating in this year’s Hajj, to redouble their prayers for the country.

At times like this, the Speaker said, it is incumbent on the people to be united as one people to face the challenges confronting the country.

Gbajabiamila expressed optimism that with prayers, Nigeria will overcome her challenges, calling for special prayers for the peaceful conduct of the 2023 general elections.

in the same vein, Controller General of the Federal Fire Service, Alhaji Abdulganiyu Jaji has enjoined both Muslims and Christians to use this Eid period to spread peace, love, tolerance and humanity at large.

In a statement by the Assistant Controller of the Service, Abraham Paul, the Controller General of the Federal Fire and Rescue Service felicitated with Muslims on the occasion of the celebration and called for renewal of faith among Muslims and other faithful in the interest of the nation.

Controller General appealed to Muslim Faithful to be fire safety conscious during the celebrating, and assured of the Service’s readiness to respond to any emergency during and after the celebration.

The Controller General used the occasion to thanked the staff, Officers and Men of the Service for their over support his administration enjoys, since assumption of office, and assured them of his commitment to make the agency better.
