Zamfara State Government has announced the appointment of new emir of Kwatarkwashi.
In a statement signed and made available to journalists by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Kabiru Balarabe Dan-Isah said the State Governor, Bello Muhammad Matawalle has approved the appointment of Alhaji Garba Ahmad Bunu as the new emir of Kwatarkwashi.
“This is to inform the general public that His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Zamfara State, Hon. Bello Mohammed Matawalle, MON (Shatiman Sokoto), has approved the appointment of Alhaji Garba Ahmad Bunu, as the new Emir of Kotorkoshi”,The statement reads.
According to him, the appointment takes effect from today (Tuesday) 14th June 2022.
It could be recalled that, the former emir of Kwatarkwashi Alhaji Ahmad Umar Mai-Kwatarkwashi died last week Thursday at the aged of 94.
The late monarch was on the throne for over 61 years.
