Deal Decisively With Criminals, COAS Tasks Special Forces Personnel

Chief of Army Staff Lt General Faruk Yahaya has charged personnel to deal decisively with criminal elements across the country.

He gave the charge at the graduation ceremony of special forces personnel of EXERCISE RESTORE HOPE II held at the Nigerian Army training camp in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Lt General Faruk Yahaya explained that the exercise was an improved version of combat and battle ready skills of personnel of EXERCISE RESTORE HOPE I to continue dealing with Nigeria’s adversaries.

He maintained that the special forces personnel would add value to the ongoing fight against enemies of the state and agents of destabilization.

The Army Chief also charged the personnel to deploy the trainings acquired to the field, stressing that the Army would sustain trainings across all its formations towards addressing emerging security challenges.

Lt General Yahaya re-iterated the commitment of the Army in upholding the welfare of personnel to achieve desired objectives.

A total of six hundred and ninety-nine officers and soldiers graduated after undergoing a four month training, and would be deployed to various theatres of operations across the country.

Highlight of the event was the tour of facilities round the Nigerian Army School of Artillery-NASA, and commissioning of Regimental Sergeant Major’s (RSM) residence by the Army Chief.
