The Monarch made this known during a town hall security meeting at His palace in New Karu, Nasarawa State.

Dr. Baba revealed that most crimes perpetrated in the area were committed by commercial motorcycle riders dislodged from Lagos and other states, calling for concerted efforts to prevent further possible erosion of the Council’s security architecture.

The Chairman, Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, Mr James Thomas who commended the Esu for constituting the forum promised to collaborate with major stakeholders to address the security situation in the council area.

Representatives of the Nigerian Police, SP Ezekiel Danteni, The Federal Road Safety Corps, Deputy Route Commander, (Head of station) Blessing Gambo and the Area Commander, Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Mr Michael Gudu who took turns to analyze the security situation in the area called for proper profiling of all commercial motorcycle and tricycle riders as well as uncover hideouts of criminals, especially in uncompleted buildings.

Responding, the Chairman of Okada riders association, Nasarawa state, Mr Alalakpe Na’állah noted that some suspected criminals from neighbouring countries had infiltrated the association.
