In an attack on Gaidam LGA in Yobe state, gunmen suspected to be insurgents killed at least 9 people on Wednesday around 9:30 p.m.
The insurgents were said to have attacked a pub, shooting sporadically and killing the victims, who were said to be vendors.
In pictures that have gone viral, some victims were slaughtered, while others had their hands tied behind their backs and were shot in the head.
The heads of others were severed and placed on their chests.
