President Muhammadu Buhari is presently presiding over the council of state meeting at the Presidential Villa Abuja.
The meeting which commenced around 10 am, had in attendance Vice President Yemi Osinbanjo and three former head of states, Yakubu Gowon, Abdulsalami Abubakar and Goodluck Jonathan.
The Governors of Kaduna, Jigawa, Ekiti, Zamfara, Kebbi, Imo and Kano are also in attendance, while other Governor are participating Virtually.
Similarly, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, National Security Adviser, Babagana Munguno, FCT Minister, Muhammad Musa Bello and the Chief of Staff to the President, Ibrahim Gambari are in attendance.
Before the commencement of the Meeting, a minute silence was observed in memory of former head of interim National government and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, Chief Ernest Shonekan who died, on the eleven of January Twenty twenty two at the age of eighty five.
