Mrs. Amina Ozi Salami

Manager of Kaduna International Airport, Mrs Amina Ozi Salami has debunked reports of bandits’ invasion on the Airport premises in last month’s attack.

She stated this while briefing newsmen in Kaduna.

Mrs Amina Ozi Salami who acknowledged the killing of a security guard in the process, however emphasized that the guard was shot from outside the perimeter fence of the Airport.

She pointed out that at the time the bandits struck, an Azman Aircraft was already on ground with passengers on board ready for take-off, as well as another private aircraft belonging to a sitting Governor.

She stressed that both aircraft were delayed for forty-four minutes before their eventual take-off.

Mrs Salami noted that trending videos on social media platforms depicting attack on the Airport were completely false.

The Airport Manager disclosed that since the incident happened, the Airport commandant requested for additional re-inforcement of personnel, adding that the Airport is currently fully secured with no security threats.

She appealed to commercial airlines to resume normal flight operations so as to revive the economic fortunes of the Airport.

Mrs Amina Salami cautioned the public against rumour mongering, and seek for clarification on any issue from the appropriate channel.
