
Kaduna State government has urged the Nigerian Immigration Service to redouble efforts in tackling security threats along the borders that formed the zone.
Deputy Governor of the State, Dr Hadiza Balarabe, gave the charge when she received the Assistant Comptroller General of Nigerian Immigration Service in charge of Zone B, ACG Zainab Lawal on a courtesy call at Government house Kaduna.

Dr Hadiza Balarabe said it is a blessing for a woman to be in charge of a largest command of the Nigerian Immigration Service.

She assured the newly Assistant Comptroller the state government’s readiness to support her while discharging her duty.
The Deputy Governor however prayed to Almighty Allah to guide the new ACG to effectively carrying out her job delligently.
She also appreciated the job immigration was doing in the state especially on the issuance of passport among others.
Dr Balarabe added that, Government was looking for better collaboration with the Nigeria immigration service.
In a remark, the Assistant Comptroller General incharged of zone B, Zainab Lawal said zone B comprises Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Jigawa, Sokoto, Zamfara, Illela and Jibia special borders.
Mrs Zainab Lawal described zone B as the largest zone in the Nigerian Immigration Services across the country, stressing that, it is partinent for her to pay visit to the state government.
She said the purpose of the visit was to avail herself to the state governor as the newly posted Comptroller General incharged of zone.
