The National President of Majma’u Ahbabu Rasulullah, Sheikh Dahiru Abubakar Kurmi has called on Muslims all over the world to emulate the good teachings of Prophet Muhammad Peace Be upon Him in their day to day activities.
Sheikh Dahiru Kurmi made the call at the 36th International Conference of the World Maulud Anniversary in Gusau, the Zamfara State Capital.
He said the aim of the conference was to highlight the importance of Makon Shehu, with a view to express the values and contributions of Maulana Shehu Nyass Raddiyallahu Anihu to Islam.
Declaring the conference open, the Emir of Gusau Alhaji Ibrahim Bello said, the occasion would bring unity among Muslims ummah in the country and to strictly adhere to the teachings of Islam.
He called on the participants to use the opportunity to promote mutual understanding, love among Muslims and to pray for lasting peace and stability to prevail in Zamfara state and the country in general.
In a remark, the Chairman, local organizing committee of the Conference Khalifa Attahiru Bello commended the efforts of the Zamfara state government toward successful hosting of the event.
The three-day conference which is expected to end on Saturday witnessed large attendance by Tijjaniyya clerics within and outside the country.
