50 youths in Kwara state have been trained in digital skill to divert their attention away from crime and make them self reliant.
Speaking at the Youths Sensitization programme organised by Al-Habibiyyah Islamic Society,Imam Fuad Adeyemi in Ilorin,with its theme “Empowering Youth with Digital Skills for a better generation.
According to the Convener the idea is to make the Youths use their phones to make money legally.
He said the beneficiaries would be able to train their peers and young ones on how to live a productive life.
Imam Adeyemi urged government at all level to designed programmes that would divert the attention of the youth from getting involve in bad behavior.
He also appealed to the wealthy individuals to assist in engaging the Youths productively to make the society better.
In her remark the Coordinator of the programme,Dr .Rakiya Momoh- Abaji said the essence of the programme is to reduce crime and corruption to the minimum in the society.
