Former Governor of Zamfara State, Abdulazeez Yari Abubakar has expressed shock over the sudden death of a chieftain of All Progressives Congress, APC, Zamfara State Chapter and a Governorship aspirant, Alhaji Sagir Hamida.
In a statement signed by the Chairman Publicity Committee of the APC of the Yari’s Camp, Ibrahim Muhammad Birnin Magaji says, the State Party’s Chairman, Lawal M. Liman announced the death on behalf of the former governor, Abdulazeez Yari
The statement says, late Sagir Hamida was attacked and killed by suspected Bandits along Kaduna-Abuja Road, Sunday evening.
The former Governor who received the information with shock and regret mourned the death of an astute politician.
He therefore prayed Almighty Allah to grant him Jannatul Firdausi as his final abode.
Lawal M. Liman revealed that, the Funeral Prayer of the Late Sagir Hamida will hold today Monday at Annur Jumu’at Mosque, Wuse 2, Abuja by 1:00pm.
