Over thirty passengers have been abducted by armed gunmen at Garun Gabas in Rafi local government council of Niger state.
They were abducted in three separate vehicles comprising of eighteen seater bus and two other vehicles.
The bandits in their large number carrying dangerous weapons stormed Zungeru Garun Gabas highway shooting sporadically to scare villagers before kidnapping the passengers to unknown destination.
One of the villagers who pleaded anonymity told Radio Nigeria in a telephone interview that the bandits have now advanced to Kundu forest in Rafi local government council to rustle some cattle in that area.
When contacted on telephone Police Public Relations Officer, Niger state command DSP Wasiu Abiodun promised to get back but did not do that up to the time of filing in this report.
