About one thousand students from 19 northern states have benefited from the Sir Ahmdu Bello Memorial Foundation scholarship programme.

Managing Director of the Foundation Malam Abubakar Gambo Umar, stated this during a three day Scholars Mentorship Forum organised for some graduands in Abuja.

Malam Abubakar Gambo, explained that the 2021 scholars mentorship forum was organised to aquint the 200 students who graduated from different universities across the country on the quality leadership and good culture of late Sir Ahmadu Bello which includes tolerance and unity in diversity.

The managing Director also confirmed that the foundation had been in partnership with some foreign and local NGOs towards fostering the legacy of exemplary leadership bequeathed by late Sardauna of Sokoto for sustainable human and economic development of 19 northern states.

In a remark former Governor of State Senator Ibrahim Shekarau, congratulated the graduands and urged them to reciprocate the gesture by protecting the integrity of northern states and the country at large wherever they found them selves.

He assured that the foundation would continue to educate and empower youth from northern Nigeria regardless of thier ethnic, tribe and religious backgrounds.

In a message, the Chairman Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Abdulrashid Bawa, warned the graduands against promoting distrust and disunity considering it’s negative impact on the nation’s economic development.

The EFFC Chairman however appealed to Nigerian youth to support them by engaging in different anti graft clubs to campaign against fraudulent and other cyber crimes within and outside the country.

Highliths of the Programme was the inauguration of new executives for Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation scholars mentorship forum and it’s coordinators from 19 northern states and the FCT Abuja.
