Nasarawa State Police Command has apprehended a suspected criminal who has been on the wanted list of the police for armed robbery and Kidnapping.

Police Public Relations Officer in the state, ASP Ramhan Nansel stated this in a statement in Lafia the Nasarawa State capital.

According to ASP Ramhan Nansel the suspect, Likita Abubakar aged 35 was arrested following a tip-off indicating that he was sighted at Alushi Junction in the Akwanga Local Government Area of the state.

The Police Spokesperson pointed out that 53 empty magazines, 260 rounds of live ammunition, and a cash sum of #38,500 were recovered from the suspect.

ASP Ramhan Nansel, however, added that the state Commissioner of Police Mr. Adesina Soyemi had ordered the transfer of the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Lafia for thorough investigations.
