The newly posted commissioner of police to Zamfara State police command CP, Ayuba Elkana has assumed duty.

He took over from his predecessor CP Hussaini Rabiu who was redeployed to Imo State Command as Commissioner of Police.

The newly commissioner of police was one time Deputy Commissioner in charge of operations, Zamfara State Police Command before promoted to the rank of Commissioner of Police and posted to the Force Headquarters Abuja as CP Force Provost Marshal.

CP Ayuba Elkana urged Strategic and Tactical Commanders of the command to be more alive to their responsibilities and ensure discipline and Professional conduct in their respective departments so that effective Police Service delivery can be Provided to members of the Public.

The CP further reminded officers on the transformation and repositioning Agenda of the Inspector General of police, Usman Alkali Baba and therefore called on everyone to redouble commitment and hard work in order to actualize the Agenda.

The new CP called on members of the Public to improve and sustain the already existing synergy with all the Security Agencies especially the Police in an effort to rid the state of crime.
