Niger State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Alhaji Muhammad Sani Idris

The kidnapped Niger State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Alhaji Muhammad Sani Idris has regain freedom after five days in captivity.

This is contained in a statement signed and issued to Newsmen in Minna by a member of the family, Ado Ada.

The statement however expresses delight over his safe return saying that his release is wholly a family effort and that no ransom was paid.

According to the statement, the family facilitates his timely release with the divine intervention of Allah.

Mr Ado Ada said the Commissioner has reunite with his family after receiving medical attention.

He also expressed the sincere appreciation of their family members to community members his associates and well wishers for their show of solidarity, love, sacrifice and support during the trying moment.

The Niger state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Alhaji Muhammad Sani Idris had in a video after his release that went viral said that the bandits who were from Zamfara state doesnt even know the name of his village in Niger state but are sponsored to abduct him.

According to him, they were told to kill him if he fail to give them two hundred million naira ransom though he said he had forgiven those that mastermind his abduction and the abductors.

It would be recalled that armed gunmen suspected to be kidnappers invaded his house at Babban Tunga in Tafa local government council of Niger state and whisked him away on foot to an unknown destination.
