Major General Kabiru Ibrahim Mukthar has assumed duty as the thirty-eighth General Officer Commanding-GOC One Division of the Nigerian Army, Kaduna.
At the handing and taking over ceremony, Major General Kabiru Ibrahim Mukthar charged personnel of the division to be dedicated and diligent in the discharge of their duties.
He pledged to build upon the successes recorded by his predecessor for the betterment of the division and the Army at large.
He urged personnel of the division to remain disciplined and ensure proper mentorship and guidance to their subordinates.
Earlier, the outgone GOC, Major General Danjuma Ali-keffi noted that in the last few months, the division had witnessed tremendous successes in the fight against kidnapping and banditry.
He urged the new GOC not to relent in the fight against crime despite some inevitable challenges.
Major General Danjuma Ali-Keffi commended the governments of Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano and Niger States as well as the Department of State Services for the support he enjoyed during his tour of duty.
Until his appointment, Major General Kabiru Ibrahim Mukthar was the Chief of Administration at the Army headquarters, while the immediate past GOC has been deployed to the Army Resource Centre Abuja.
