Traders in Kwara state have been urged to avoid arbitrary hike in the price of essential commodities ahead of the Eid-el Kabir celebration.

A Cleric, Abdulmumeen Alaya made the call while speaking with newsmen on the state of the nation in Ilorin.

According to him, any increase in price of commodities during the festival will bring untold hardship to Nigerians.

He advised ram and cattle dealers to be considerate with Muslims wishing to buy and slaughter them for the festival .

Alaya charged the traders to do their business with the fear of God and not worsen the current economic hardship in the country.

He appealed to Muslims to imbibe the virtues of contentment and eschew extravagant tendencies during the Sallah celebration.
