Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, has confirmed the sighting of the moon signalling the beginning of Ramadan.

In a live broadcast on Monday, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar announced that the month of Ramadan will begin on Tuesday 13th April, 2021

He urged Muslims to ensure strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols during the fasting period
