Kwara State Police Command has confirmed that at least one person lost his life while another sustained injury following a violent clash that erupted between Share/ Kangre/Sagbe communities in Ifelodun local government area of the state.
This is contained in a statement issued by the command spokesman, SP Ajayi Okasanmi in Ilorin.
According to the statement the swift despatch of men from police mobile force squadron 15 and other sister security agencies brought the crisis under control.
The statement explained that at the dawn of the crisis, one Azeez Shuaib of Dimon compound Share was shot dead while one Jamiu Mari -Oyo sustained gun shot injuries from the combatants.
The statement noted that the crisis was reported to have erupted when family of Onireke compound Share went to clear their farmland and were attacked by youths of Kangre and Sagbe communities.
