Chairman, Jema’a Local Government Area Council, Mr Peter Danjuma Averik has assured of the effectiveness and safety of the Astrazeneca COVID-19 Vaccine.
Mr. Averik stated this after the vaccine was administered on him at the local government council secretariat in Kafanchan,Kaduna State.
He assured the people that government was concerned about their wellbeing and would not mislead them in doing anything that will put their lives in danger.
The Chairman appealed to them to present themselves for vaccination and ignore the rumour making rounds about the covid-19 Vaccine as it had gone through series of clinical investigations and is certified safe for use by reputable health institutions and bodies.
Responding, Director Primary Health Care , Mrs Rahab David said the covid-19 vaccination exercise in the area had been successful despite the initial doubt.
