Government at all levels have been urged to provide enabling environment for youth empowerment through skill acquisition for self reliant.
The Arewa of Offa, Latifah Olanrewaju, made the call while speaking at a free skill acquisition and Empowerment programme for thirty women in Offa local government area of Kwara state.
According to her, the trainees will be given free start up kits in beed- making and make up to enable them open their own businesses.
She advised the beneficiaries to utilise tools given to them for the purposes they were meant for.
Latifah urged government to support individuals who have the passion to train the young ones in skills acquisition to reduce unemployment.
In a remark, Senator Representing Kwara South Senatorial District, Senator Lola Ashiru, represented by Tajudeen Abioye, appealed to wealthy individuals to support government effort towards youth empowerment.
