Kwara State Government has commenced the disbursement of over N31million naira compensation to 194 victims of fuel tanker accident in Jebba, Moro local government area of the state.

Speaking during the disbursement of the fund , Deputy House Leader, Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. John Bello, who is also Chairman, Jebba Fire Disaster Relief Committee said the fund was made available by government.

According to him each victim will get between N30,000 and one million naira.

He urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the money given to them.

In a remark the Secretary Kwara State Emergency Management Agency Mrs Motunrayo Adanra assured the victims that the compensation would reach all of them.

Responding on behalf of the victims, Hon. John Okedare commended the state government for the prompt payment of compensation to the victims of Jebba fire incident.
