Jigawa State Government says it will establish a mobile courts to arrest and punish violators of Covid-19 protocols.

Governor Badaru Abubakar gave the warning in Dutse, during a press briefing on government’s commitment towards abiding by the Covid-19 guidelines signed into law by President Muhammadu Buhari.

He examined that the state government would set up a mobile courts, if people continue to defy the presidential order on covid-19 protocols.

Alhaji Badaru Abubakar further explained that violators would be fined N5,000 or sentenced to 6 months jail term.

It could be recalled that President Muhammadu Buhari has signed into law the bill that makes it compulsory for citizens to wear face mask, avoid large gatherings, observing the social distance among others.
