Kwara state Police command and the state Association of Old Motor Spare parts Dealers have entered into partnership to curb increasing rate of car snatching and robbery in parts of the state.

This is contained in a statement issued by the president and deputy president of the association, Alhaji Moshood Abdulkadir and Olayiwola Remilekun, in Ilorin.

According to the statement, the partnership with security agencies in the state has led to the arrest and prosecution of suspected car thieves and armed robbers in the state.

The statement explains that their members has always taken security precaution in their activities, adding that they will continue to partner with the security agencies to rid the state of criminal elements.

The statement urges the state police command to ensure adequate prosecution of any one caught selling stolen vehicle parts.
