Journalists have been urged to redoubled efforts in the campaign on the dangers of COVID-19 to save lives.

A medical expert, Dr. Joseph Adeyemi made the call while delivering a paper at a programme organised by members of Kwara state Sports writers association-SWAN, in Ilorin.

According to him, Journalists and other stakeholders should make themselves available and serve as COVID-19 ambassadors.

Dr. Adeyemi urged government to ensure funds set aside were used juduciously to procure medical consumables to prevent the spread of the disease.

He called on the leaders to have the political will to support the fight against spread of the pandemics.

The medical expert however, urged Journalists to educate the public on the need to ensure strict adherence to COVID-19 Protocols.
