Members of the kano state House of Assembly has elected the former Deputy speaker Alhaji Hamisu Ibrahim chidari , representing makoda local government area as the the new speaker of the House.

Alhaji Hamisu Ibrahim chidari has been sworned in as the new speaker of the House.

His emergence as the new speaker followed the sudden resignation of the former speaker Alhaji Abdulaziz Garba Gafasa on early hours of Monday

Meanwhile Zubairu Hamza massu has been elected and sworn in as the new deputy speaker of the nineth Assembly.

Alhaji labaran Abdul madari, member Representing Warawa local government was elected as the New majority leader of the house.

Alhaji Abdullahi ilyasu yaryasa member also emerges as the new Deputy Majority Leader.
